a place to be anonymous
to rest
after chasing lights and libations
i could be anyone there
the girl i always pictured
brave, independent, free
when i got to texas
i tried to be all those things, and more
a bartender on east 6th
a waitress in sleepy alpine
a stargazer under the marfa lights
only to find
i could be all those things,
and more.
